The attacks of September 11th have been used to justify many terrible things - illegal spying, wrongful imprisonment, violating treaties, and war. But we cannot allow the victims of these attacks to be remembered for these atrocities.

Help build a memory of peace by petitioning the Postal Service to issue a September 11th memorial stamp.

The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation (WTCMF) was created with the goal of turning the aftermath of September 11th into a lesson for peace. Next year marks the 5th anniversary of these attacks, and the WTCMF is working to make sure our country properly honors the thousands of innocent men, women, and children who perished in these horrific attacks with a postage stamp.

The WTCMF is also working on building a Memorial and Museum to honor the innocent lives lost at ground zero. The Memorial will consist of two voids that reside in the original footprints of the Twin Towers. Each void will hold a pool of water filled by waterfalls on all sides and visitors will descend 30 feet to galleries underneath the waterfalls inscribed with the names of those who died.

This is a message to remind us all that peace cannot be found through violence.
